What is going on with set up and take down time? 

Maple Leaf staff will be out to Canmore early to set up the room and get things ready for you!  The suggested arrival time to start your sewing machine set up in our meeting room is 1pm (Hotel Room check in is at 4pm).   Check out time is 11am from the rooms, however, we will be there set up until about 5pm.... sew until your heart is full! 

If you arrive early:

•  You may be put to work on set up.  😜
• Hear spoilers about the next few days of retreat surprises.
• See the panic of our team realizing we may not be ready on time... and then pulling it off anyway.  

I am flying in to attend the retreat, what options are there for transport to Canmore? 

There are all the usual options like Taxi's or Uber. A quick google search will also give you an idea of other options for transport.

Why are all the meals not included? 

Several reasons!  The catering options with Blackstone Mountain Lodge does not offer supper options, also, the Lodge has full kitchens in many of their rooms for you to create or bring your own delishious meals. (Perfect if you have strick allergy concerns)  

You will never go hungry at one of our events, even if you do miss a meal.  There will be snacks galore...and you can always order in or take a stroll to one of the MANY top rated restaurants in Canmore. 

Where can I send payment by e-transfer instead of by credit card?

The option to send by e-transfer will be available at check out and the email address is included there as well as here: mlqcbilling@gmail.com

May I bring my spouse?

You can!  Non-quilters have traveled to many of our Maple Leaf Retreats over the years and do their own activities during retreat or sewing time.  Canmore offers a plethora of activities for any non-quilter!  **Unfortunately, with this retreat we unable to offer any meal options for non-retreat goers.  (The hotel rate remains the same, just book under our booking code!) 

If I bring all my own meals is there a discount? 

Unfortunately not.  As part of the meeting room contract at the hotel we are obligated to use their dedicated caterer. 

Will my belongings and sewing machine be covered by insurance? 

You will need to check with your home owners policy and confirm if this will be covered.  If it is not, be sure to discuss if you can add that option for 4-5 days over the retreat, often the cost is very minimal for a few days coverage.
